The Odum Library New Media Center is a service oriented office providing assistance in media content development, media presentations, and provides access to a wide variety of traditional and new media equipment and software.

What we do

The New Media Center is a service-oriented library office housed in Odum on the 1st floor in Room 1240. We provide instruction and support of basic media content development for academic purposes, poster creation, and access to various traditional and new media equipment and software. The NMC offers specialized tools for digital media production, including 3 editing rooms, 2 video capture suites, multiple labs and a classroom, high-quality scanning and printing devices, video recording tools, and access to software collections such as Adobe Pro and Office 365. Additionally, the NMC provides a range of audiovisual and digital equipment for free checkout.

Who uses our services

Faculty and Staff utilize our services to develop course-related media content for online and face-to-face instruction and presentations requiring audio/video capturing.

Students use our services to complete presentation projects and class assignments from a simple PowerPoint presentation and poster display to more sophisticated projects incorporating audio and video editing.
